CRS GEOTUBE® PROJECTS

Geotube®

Dredging- West Australia's North West region

This project in northwestern WA involved the dredging and dewatering of ~ 7,500m³ of a digested sewage sludge from a mining town sewage treatment plant.

The sludge was dredged from the lagoon, dosed with 150-200ppm of a cationic polymer, mixed then delivered to the Geotube® dewatering containers. The Geotube® containers were laid out on a temporary plastic bunded area so the filtrate could be directed back to the adjacent lagoon.

The sludge discharge pipework was manifolded into the Geotube® containers, ensuring that the 500m³/hour pump rate was accommodated by at least two Geotube® dewatering containers at any one time.

The project was completed on time and the sludge left to dry in a protected contained state, until it had reached a target dried solids percentage.
