Wastewater Treatment Plants Package Sewage Treatment Plant Site: Bungendore, NSW   Completed: March 2008   Capacity: 300 EP (60 kL/day)   Services: Design, Manufacture, Commissioning, Testing and Training   Special Features:   This Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) was designed to treat effluent to a quality that complied with the requirements of Interim NSW Guidelines for Management of Private Recycled Water Schemes - Oct 2007. To achieve the required treated water quality, an ultra-filtration unit was used in the tertiary treatment stage The treated water is suitable for toilet flushing and irrigation.   Project Description:   This project utilises the Extended Aeration Activated Sludge method of biological sewage treatment incorporating primary sedimentation, aeration and clarification. The system uses a CRS Model 300 packaged STP with aeration supplied via a “Roots” type blower and diffusers. Disinfection is undertaken using ORP for automatic dosing of sodium hypochlorite, followed by ultra-filtration prior to storage.
