Capacity: 500 kL/day
Services: Design & Construct
CRS has completed the construction of the Bemboka Township Water Treatment Plant with capacity to deliver 500 kL/day of potable water.
CRS’ completed WTP treats water from the Bemboka River to produce high quality potable water for the township.
Treatment processes that are utilised in the plant includes Screening, Ultrafiltration, Alkalinity correction and Chlorine Disinfection.
The project involved a significant amount of civil construction with the site transformed from a paddock to an entire water treatment plant. The plant features a main building responsible for housing all major process equipment, multiple pump stations responsible for transferring water from the local river to the plant and waste to the sludge lagoons, sludge lagoons that are employed to settle out solids in the water and return supernatant to the plant. A main servicing road is also present to enable efficient access to the plant for maintenance and chemical supplies.
The water treatment plant is a fully automated unmanned plant with a local PLC, and integration with council SCADA enabling remote access and control.
