RAAF BASE EAST SALE WTP
Completed: September, 2014
Capacity: 500 kL/day
Services: Design, Manufacture, Supervision, Commissioning, Operator Training, Demolitions
Water sourced from a 120m deep bore is pre-treated through DMI filtration, chemical dosing and air-stripping. A packaged microfiltration system followed by activated carbon filters, UV treatment and further chemical dosing results in a very high standard of drinking water.
Supplementary systems include potable/service water boosting, safety equipment, compressed air, potable water storage inclusive of emergency mains bypass and in-ground waste settling and discharge tanks.
The plant is fully automated (and remotely monitored) via an Allen Bradley Compact Logix PLC and 12” PanelView Plus touch screen.
This project involved a significant amount of site works including surveying, demolitions, earthworks, concreting, mechanical and electrical installation all under CRS’s constant site supervision to Thiess’s strict safety management systems.
