CRS provided a Potable Water Filtration Plant (PWFP) to Santos GLNG at their Wallumbilla campsite.
The Wallumbilla Potable Water Filtration Plant utilises multimedia filtration, reverse osmosis and disinfection to meet Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG). The Multimedia filtration is incorporated for the removal of suspended solids, and the media consists of gravel, sand, heavy garnet, fine garnet, and filter coal. Acid dosing provides pH adjustment before the RO, and chlorine dosing disinfects the stored potable water. Endress and Hauser probes and transmitter provided pH, temperature, chlorine, and conductivity analysis.
The plant is partly containerised and controlled by a local PLC. The plant has been semi-automated with minimal operator action required under normal operation.
