In October of 2014, CRS Industrial Water Treatment Systems supplied two ET13-10m Envitube® Dewatering Containers to Dredging Solutions for use within Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
CRS were contracted by Taronga Zoo to help improve the performance of their water treatment & recycling system by removing a build up of storm water sediment from a 500,000L raw water tank and a concrete pasveer ditch. The Taronga Zoo water recycling site is on the harbour foreshore, and all works within the site require careful planning with zero tolerance for untreated discharges. Dredging Solutions chose Envitubes® as they could fully contain the sediment while it was dewatering and did not require any chemical agents that could jeopardise the harbour environment. Over four days, Dredging Solutions carefully mixed and pumped the contents of the pasveer ditch and water tank up into Envitube® Dewatering Containers with the clear filtrate gravity feeding back into the system to be treated prior to re-use or discharge. The sediment within the Envitubes® will remain contained while continuing to dewater over the summer months.
