TasWater Bushy Park WTP
Completed: March, 2019
Capacity: 400 kL/day
Services: Design & Construct
The constructions and commissioning for the TasWater Bushy Park Water Treatment Plant has come to a conclusion in March, 2019.
The plant is designed with a capacity to deliver 400kL/day of potable water for the townships of Gretna, Bushy Park, and Glenora. The townships were previously under permanent boil water notice and had to rely on local water race.
The completed WTP provides the residents with potable water at quality standards higher than Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG). The change has effectively eliminated the risks for diseases from unsafe water supply.
Raw water from Lake Fenton is supplied to the plant where a series of treatment processes including Chemical Dosing, Screening, pH correction, GAC Filtration, and multi-stage Chlorine Disinfection are performed.
The WTP is fitted with a fully automatic PLC that regulates equipment operations based on the signal outputs from level, flow, pressure and water analysis transmitters. CRS also oversaw the installation, commissioning and operator training for the treatment plant.
