CRS’ Ground Water Treatment Plants have successfully treated over 750 million litres of ground water from the WestConnex New M5 tunneling works.
CRS completed the construction of 3 temporary ground water treatment plants for the WestConnex sites at the start of 2017. CRS has had an active involvement with the sites since project completion with provision of chemicals, consumables and remote monitoring of the plants.
Treatment processes in the plants include: Coagulation, Flocculation, Clarification, Continuous Sand Filtration, Chemical Dosing and Sludge Dewatering.
The plants are fully automated with a local PLC, and process alarms are sent to the project control system indicating a need for maintenance.
