Eton 700 kL/day WTP

Water Treatment

May 2018

About this Project

CRS was engaged by Mackay Regional Council to design, construct and commission a containerised Water Treatment Plant to upgrade the existing water treatment system and produce potable water for the Eton township.

The raw water feed sourced from local bores contains high levels of metallic ions and as such required additional softening and pH correction.

The softener vessels are filled with resin to remove calcium and magnesium ions contained from the raw water. Periodic backwash and regeneration of the softeners are regulated by the installed control system.

The WTP is a fully automatic system that compliments the existing plant by providing additional capability required to produce treated water complying to ADWG guidelines.
