NSW T&I WTP – Burrendong, Mookerawa, Glenbawn
About this Project
CRS was chosen by NSW Trade and Investment to design and fabricate water treatment facilities at three separate holiday parks: Lake Burrendong Holiday Park, Mookerawa Waters Holiday Park, and Lake Glenbawn Holiday Park. The primary objective of the WTP is to treat raw water to meet NSW Trade and Investment specifications including the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG).
The three systems utilize Evoqua Ultrafiltration Membranes and incorporate coagulant to treat high turbidity raw water. Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) filtration is provided for the removal of remaining organics/toxins. Treated water is dosed with sodium hypochlorite and continuously monitored. The treated effluent flowrates for the Burrendong, Mookerawa, and Glenbawn sites were 350kL/day, 250kL/day, and 300kL/day, respectively.
The plants are fully automated with a local PLC, and process alarms are sent to the project control system indicating a need for maintenance. CRS was also involved with installation, commissioning and operator training onsite.
